The Constitution is outdated?

Some argue that the Constitution as written does not apply to the problems we face today, so we cannot follow it blindly. I argue that the problems to which the Constitution proposed solutions mirror our current problems. Consider the reason for the migration to the United States, as outlined in the Declaration of Independence: to free the Independent States from despotic government control. In describing this control, the Declaration of Independence states, "for imposing Taxes on us without our Consent." Freedom from unrepresented taxation also motivated the 1773 Tea Party; the people opposed taxation from entities outside their immediately elected representatives. We seem to have lost the ability to recognize the signs of despotic government control. Perhaps instead of denouncing the document which led to centuries of prosperity, we should just sit down, read and learn from it.

Having Trouble Counting

How does this man still have a job?

So in-case you weren't following before, Charlie Webster of the Maine GOP office announced a winner last Saturday before many districts even held their caucus, and added that the votes that come in after the 11th will not be counted. This wouldn't have been such a big deal if the first and second place winners weren't less than 200 votes apart

After being attacked by voting fraud by Ron Paul supporters, the GOP office made an effort to get the rest of the "missing" votes and during the process admitted to a number of clerical errors including some of the emails from the voting districts going to the spam folder. But, regardless of their inability to handle the most basic of tasks (ie: counting), they now claim to have the total number of votes, but won't release them until March 10th.

If this isn't voter fraud, I don't know what is. After calling an incomplete vote, gathering the real votes, they now won't release the final tally until after super tuesday? Is it just me, or is it clear what's happening here? If the new count didn't change the result, why wouldn't they release the information immediately? It would just be confirming that their initial guess was correct. Which leads me to believe that, in-fact, Paul may have won the straw pull, and they're keeping the results so he doesn't build momentum in other primary elections.

Again, all they have to do is release the information and the real count (assuming they haven't tampered with it), and all of these suspicions disappear. So why the hesitation, Charlie?

Unfortunately for Webster and the rest of the GOP, Ron Paul supporters are used to this kind of thing; censoring him from the media, from polls, and now election results. Yet, you will not meet a single "ex-Ron Paul   supporter" because Paul's support, much like his message, remains consistent. His number of supporters only GROWS, and will continue long after he's gone. Eventually the liberty movement will out-number the establishment and action will be taken to restore the constitution and free America - let's just hope all of our freedoms haven't been stripped from us before that revolution comes.

Fractional Reserve Banking: The Destruction of Capitalism

Taken from www.relfe.com/plus_5_.html.
WARNING: This post contains no humor.

Fractional reserve banking is destroying our economic system. It is nothing more than counterfeit and fraud, and is practiced by private banks across the globe. If you haven't heard this term before, there's a good reason: It's hidden from mainstream society. Because of this, it's able to continue to be practiced without any restrictions. Even many of those who do know about it (specifically lobbyists and corrupt politicians) do nothing about it out of fear and/or bribery. It's time to change; we must educate the public about the activities of (as James Madison called them) "the money-changers".

For those of you who know of this topic already, you are probably aware of HR 459 and are working to spread awareness. For those who are new to this topic, I assure you, this is not just a conspiracy theory. This is not an attempt to explain who assassinated JFK, this is not a blog for "9-11 Truthers", as they call themselves... this is a post that will attempt to inform and educate with as much data and logic as possible about global economics and what the private, central banks are doing to currencies worldwide.

What is fractional reserve banking?
Fractional-reserve banking is a form of banking where banks maintain reserves (of cash and coin or deposits at the central bank) that are only a fraction of the customer's deposits. Funds deposited into a bank are mostly lent out, and a bank keeps only a fraction (called the reserve ratio) of the quantity of deposits as reserves. Some of the funds lent out are subsequently deposited with another bank, increasing deposits at that second bank and allowing further lending. As most bank deposits are treated asmoney in their own right, fractional reserve banking increases the money supply, and banks are said to create money. [source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fractional_reserve_banking]
A wordy explanation, indeed. There is a lot of information on Wikipedia from credible sources on the subject, but since this is an informal approach at educating, I will direct you to a great fictional story that not only explains fractional reserve banking, but mirrors our current economic system in the process.
Please read: I Want the Earth Plus 5%

What does this have to do with our economic system?

Most don't realize, but our "federal" reserve, the bank that controls the government's funds, is actually a privately-owned central bank, and is not owned or even controlled by the US government as the name suggests. This private bank practices fractional reserve banking in such a devastating manner, that it is the sole reason for our country's recessions and depressions.

Since I don't have time to re-invent the wheel, I will point you to a documentary that explains the subject much better than I ever could. I warn you, this will require an open mind, attention to detail and fact-checking on your own time (as with all sources of information, you must ALWAYS fact-check as to not be mislead). Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you "Money Masters" in its entirety:

If your mind was blown as much as mine was after watching this documentary, please spread the word. We must inform the mainstream what's really going on behind their money.

A Second Look - As Requested

WARNING: This post contains no humor.
Santorum failing at being conservative.

Rick Santorum: Anti-Conservative

Santorum trying to explain his narrow-mindedness.
Rick Santorum claims to be the "consistent conservative"[1] candidate of the Republican Party. Yet his definition of "traditional conservatism" seems to be contrary to the values held many people who consider themselves to be conservative.

In an NPR interview, Santorum stated, "[Libertarians] have this idea that people should be left alone, be able to do whatever they want to do. Government should keep our taxes down and keep our regulation low and that we shouldn't get involved in the bedroom, we shouldn’t get involved in cultural issues, you know, people should do whatever they want. Well, that is not how traditional conservatives view the world, and I think most conservatives understand that individuals can’t go it alone."[2]

Santorum believes that the constitutional rights of American citizens are not unlimited, but instead must be regulated by the government[3]. He believes in a constitutional definition of marriage, thus federally banning gay marriage[4]. He has said he will continue the costly undeclared wars on terror[5] and supports both the PATRIOT Act[6] and internet regulation such as SOPA[7]. He has even gone so far as to vote against Right To Work in his home state of Pennsylvania while promoting unions[8], something, I believe, that most would not associate with conservatism.

I propose this: Many of Rick Santorum's beliefs, actions and plans are closely related to radical authoritarianism (aka fascism), and while he claims to be conservative, he is in fact failing hold up the title in every department.

If you look at the definitions of conservatism[9] the overall consensus (or commonality) seems to be that of conservation and preservation of what is already there. So, to me, the truest form of conservation would be that of the original documents laid out by our founding fathers.

My belief is that traditional conservatives should be the preservers of constitutional rights and civil liberties; defending the freedom of the individual at all costs. They should also be against excessive spending, especially in relation to war. This seems like a value lost on the majority of the Republican Party, with the exception of (as Santorum calls them) the "Libertarian Right."[2]

Ron Paul's Predictions

Ron Paul Calls Obama's Bluff
No surprise here, I think any conservative could see through this con artist.

Ron Paul Predicts 9-11
Well this one is a little more interesting. How could he have possibly known we were going to have blowback? Oh, he what? He was researching recent history? That could help.

Ron Paul Predicts The Housing Market Collapse
So he knows his economics. Well, that's one thing we haven't had in a president for decades.

Ron Paul Predicts Everything Else
Okay, that's just impressive. He was a physician, is a 12-year-running Texas Congressman, master economist, and freedom fighter? What doesn't this man do?!

You've got to be kidding...
He hit the only over-the-fence home-run in the history of the annual congressional baseball game. What a boss.

Still think he's just an undercover hippie? Find out why he has 10 times more support from active duty military and retired veterans than ANY OTHER REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE:

"Armed Services"

Screen shot taken from his newest TV ad.
In Rick Santorum's latest television ad, he claims to have served 8 years in "Armed Services."

Well, as someone who follows the candidates quite closely this came as a surprise. I was not aware there were two candidates with military experience. So I decided to investigate further. As it turns out, by "Armed Services", the ad was referring to the "Senatorial Armed Services Committee."

Clearly the deception was un-intentional. Everyone's first thought was Senatorial Armed Services Committee. Rick Santorum, your lies are an insult to your supporters, and most of all, a slap in the face to REAL veterans. Way to stay classy.

This scumbag CANNOT get the nomination.

Mitt Romney On Medicinal Marijuana

Romney telling a story about a well-endowed woman to a couple of buddies.
I see. No problem with Methadone, Hydrocodone, Oxycontin, Adderall, and Percocets - all of which are significantly more harmful and easier to abuse. But weed is the drug that we need to spend billions of dollars to keep people from getting their hands on. How are you always right?

Mitt Romney on the PATRIOT Act

Romney explains his foreign policy with explosion sound effects.
Okay, Mitt. You're right, we should all just duck and cover and let the good ol' government to keep us safe at ANY cost. What constitution? I believe a man by the name of BENJAMIN FRANKLIN would disagree with you. And while he has proven himself over the years, you have proven to be nothing but wrong.
"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety." - Benjamin Franklin
Here's a modern interpretation by another man who has proven himself over the years:
"Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long." - Dr Ron Paul
According to the results of the New Hampshire primary, they have forgotten about their motto: LIVE FREE OR DIE
